This is for the discussion of expansion. I can get flyers out at the San Diego Comic Con. I want to open the floor for organization ideas and what not.
I would like to explore the options...

Would it be possible to look into making the Battlestar Cerberus for California? It might be nice to have it for the new recruits we might get through San Diego Comic Con....just a thought

I think you are right sir!
I'm considering paying the $70 to get a die made for clipped-corner flyers, so that we can have awesome BSG propaganda printed up. I've already got an idea for the first one

Sounds great! How do we want to start them of, by them I mean the possible nuggets? I'm not sure if they should start off with a battlestar right of the bat, I mean they could. Just want to make sure we have somewhere for them to meet on the boards.
Thanks

I've updated the Nugget Introduction Forum, so thats all ready to go unless anybody has any major complaints with the content.
Once we're up and running I'll be advertising primarily on Gaiaonline (which I know is dorky, but hey. I have BSG friends on there who will surely pop on over.)
Also, I've brought this up with Vertigo before, but what would everyone think about having a designated ship (doesn't have to be a battlestar. Could be a civvie ship or something) for members who don't have a group in their area. That way nobody would feel left out and we'd have a place to stick people until they manage to find enough friends to create a Battlestar. Thoughts?

Gyro had a similar thought. I understand the thought, but at the same time, we will have other forums, like Costume Research, Roleplaying, Gaming, etc.. and non-members can still post in Battlestar topics. So we're not excluding anyone for not having their own local group. But a good thought, we just need to make sure there is a smattering of non-local forums.

any thoughts or suggestions???

Suggestions about what?

What to do for new members, I like the original MOD badges with more detail. Can we switch back to the others?

No, I changed the badges because I didn't like the lack of contrast with the officer badges before, and the mod badges were too bright and colorful, I wanted them a bit more subdued, I might consider adding the additional chevrons and such back on though, as long as the text is still readable.
